Questions Answered – By Stephen
Stephen answers the most common questions we receive on a daily basis to help guide you through choosing the perfect adjustable bed and organic mattress.
1. Can I join two singles together to make a large Super King bed?
Yes, you can. We can link the bed bases together for you, while each side retains its own independent control, allowing you to raise and lower each side to different heights and angles for personalised comfort.
2. Can this be done for a King size as well?
Yes, simply order two small single beds and we will supply them linked together. We refer to this as a “dual” bed, giving you flexibility and individual control within one larger sleeping space.
3. How long is delivery?
As all of our bed bases and mattresses are handmade to order, we recommend allowing approximately four to five weeks for delivery. However, certain models may be available sooner, so if you require a quicker turnaround, please do ask and we will advise what is currently available.
4. Do you have showrooms?
We operate on a direct-from-factory model across all our European operations, which means we do not have physical showrooms. This approach allows us to avoid high overhead costs and pass those savings directly on to you.
5. What guarantee comes with the beds?
All of our beds and mattresses come with a full ten-year guarantee, reflecting the quality of materials and craftsmanship involved.
6. Is there a trial period as you don’t have showrooms?
Yes, we offer a 100-night trial as standard. If you are not completely satisfied after this period, we will arrange collection at no extra cost and provide a full refund. Returns are rare, as our mattresses and adjustable beds are designed for exceptional comfort and quality.
7. Will the mattress feel different to a memory foam mattress?
Yes, significantly. Our mattresses are made from layers of organic wool supported by approximately 1000 individually designed pocket springs. This creates a more breathable, supportive and comfortable feel. Unlike memory foam, which can retain heat, our natural fillings regulate temperature, keeping you cool in summer and warm in winter. They are also deeper, adding an extra level of luxury.
8. What’s the best way to choose the firmness of my mattress?
Stephen says: “This is one of the most common questions we’re asked. The first thing to consider is how you sleep. If you are a dedicated back sleeper and prefer a firm surface, that may suit you. However, for most people, especially side sleepers, a firm mattress can feel too hard on pressure points like shoulders and hips. A medium tension offers a softer, more cushioned feel, while a medium-firm provides a balance of support and comfort.”
9. What are the benefits of natural and chemical-free fillings in a mattress?
Stephen says: “Natural materials such as organic wool, cotton and silk are breathable, temperature regulating and highly durable. They keep you cool in summer and warm in winter by allowing air to circulate. Because we don’t use synthetic foams, chemical fire retardants or gels, our mattresses are naturally hypoallergenic and create a cleaner, healthier sleeping environment without heat build-up or synthetic odours. Simply put, natural and organic is better for your body, your sleep and the environment.”
10. What’s the difference between Organic Egyptian Cotton and Organic Suvin Gold Cotton?
Stephen says: “Both are exceptional natural fibres. Egyptian Cotton is known for its long, fine fibres, creating a soft, smooth and breathable fabric that is durable and temperature regulating. Suvin Gold Cotton is even rarer and considered one of the finest in the world, with ultra-long fibres that give a silky, almost cashmere-like feel and a subtle natural sheen. It is lighter, more breathable and offers the highest level of luxury. In simple terms, Egyptian Cotton is premium and comfortable, while Suvin Gold is the pinnacle of softness and refinement.”
